Alberta Health Services - AHS- Adult Day Support Program
There are several volunteering opportunities available in the Adult Day Support Program.
This program utilizes volunteers to encourage seniors in the program to socialize and participate in the recreation activities. It enhances the client's level of social, physical, spiritual, cognitive and emotional well-being, as well as preventing social isolation. The role of the volunteer is to enhance the program offered by increasing the amount of one on one attention the clients receive.
Must be a good communicator, friendly, and outgoing. ADP runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00am - 3:00 pm. We need volunteers all 4 days and especially on Monday and Friday. If this sounds like a perfect volunteering opportunity we have some flexibility in the shifts to hopefully work better in your schedule. We are looking for people from 9:30-12:30 or from 12:30-3:00pm. Also, smaller increments during these hours are also available.
If interested please contact Natalie Beaudet, at Volunteer Resources, Airdrie Urgent Care (Tuesday and Fridays) at 403-556-4443 or Natalie.firstname.lastname@example.org Alternatively go on to our website and fill in an application form.
