Volunteer Airdrie

Skills Based Volunteers to work with Airdrie and District Hospice Society.  We are looking for skills based volunteers with experience in Social Work, Counselling, Working with Children or  struggling with the reality of loss and Grief Facilitation or similar skill set. A two day training session is provided for the right candidates.  Willing to be flexible and work with different age groups in groups settings no one on one support is offered or a required skill set. Hours at this time are early evenings and  in person or virtual programs run for twelve weeks at a time. The training program and manual are for ages 3-18 years of age. Perspective volunteers will find this a rewarding experience seeing the growth the children achieve in this group environment supporting each other to work through their grief.
