Board Service and Committees - Alberta Lymphedema Association - Treasurer
The Alberta Lymphedema Association is seeking a volunteer to be on our board as our Treasurer.

The focus of the Treasurer position of the Alberta Lymphedema Association (“ALA”) is to document and provide direction with regard to the financial management of the Association.
Accountability: President and the Board of Directors
Responsibilities: In addition to Director responsibilities, the Treasurer is responsible for:
Receiving all monies paid or donated to the Association.
Ensuring deposit of all monies in whatever bank, trust company, credit union or treasury branch the Board may order.
Issuing all required receipts in the form prescribed by the Board.
Properly accounting for the funds of the Association and keeping such records as may be directed by the Board.
Presenting a written financial report to all meetings of the Board.
Presenting the audited financial statement of the Association at the Annual General Meeting.
Acting as a signing officer with another officer for cheques and other documents.
Requirements:
Financial management knowledge
Knowledge of and accountability compliance of legislation and policies related to charitable organizations
Detail oriented
Good communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Term: maximum of 3 years.
