Volunteer Opportunity: OFFICE ASSISTANT

Suitability: Individual Adult (18+)

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Assist the museum Curator with the general business operations of
the museum.
This position is an important part in making the museum visitors feel
welcome during their visit to the museum.
The job focus will mainly be on front desk duties and administration
support.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
On the job training with an appropriate amount of time spent on
assisting the candidate to understand and use the museum’s
processes and procedures.

The opportunity to work with a staff and volunteer team that are
committed to delivering a first class visit or other experience to the
museum visitors and users.
The opportunity to gain a first hand knowledge of the history of the
Nose Creek Valley.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
The use of strong interpersonal skills in order to greet museum
visitors and to execute the room rental process as required.
The use of great oral and written communication skills.
The ability to execute all front desk operational tasks.
The ability to maintain and to recommend changes to the office filing
systems and to perform other general office duties.
The ability to help organize and maintain a clean and safe work area.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small
team environment.
The candidate should exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy.
