San Diego Pride

Festival Breakdown volunteers will break down the Pride Festival venue by removing and repacking fence green screen, breaking down tables and chairs, packing the trucks as assigned. We had a fun weekend, but now we have to return the venue back into a wonderful park!

Responsibilities:

- Removing and packing all green screen from the fencing. 
- Stack tables and chairs
- Assist with removing signs and banners
 - Provide traffic control for vehicles entering and exiting the festival grounds to ensure safety for everyone working on site
 - Help load and unload trucks, taking items to the Pride office or storage facilities
- Remove all trash from the festival grounds
- Remove all trash boxes that have been placed outside of festival venue along the street
 - Be able to lift at least 25lbs
- Assist as needed in other areas

This is a physical position as you will be on the move, your feet pounding the pavement as you navigate every corner of the festival site. This isn't a job for the faint of heart - it's a high-energy adventure where you'll be on your feet, hustling to ensure every detail is perfect. You might find yourself getting a little dusty or dirty along the way, but fear not - it's all part of the exhilarating experience.

Training:

 - Training will be provided to ensure you can perform your duties safely. You will learn proper lifting techniques, how to avoid heat related injuries, and customer service skills.

Location:

 - You will check in at the corner of 6th and Juniper at Pride Village

As Festival Breakdown volunteer you will get free entrance on both days of the festival, access to Pride Village where we will feed you during your volunteer shift and provide you with cold drinks and snacks to keep your energy up, an invitation to our appreciation party in August and the eternal gratitude for giving your time and energy to get the festival ready.
