San Diego Pride

Overview: Parade Contingent Staging Volunteers help ensure that parade contingents are properly staged and ready for step-off. This role is perfect for those who enjoy traffic direction, engaging with the public, and assisting parade participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure each parade contingent is set up in their designated location.
• Confirm that contingent placards are visible.
• Assist participants in locating their assigned staging area.
• Support the parade team in directing contingents to the step-off line once the parade begins.
• Interact with the general public and answer questions as needed.

Location: Hillcrest; Check-In at the Parade Volunteer Check-in (exact location to be announced). 

Requirements:

• Comfortable directing foot and vehicle traffic.
• Ability to move around for the duration of the shift.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Training or Support:

• General volunteer info sessions prior to the Parade will be available.
• Brief on-site training will be provided at the start of the shift.
• Parade team members will be available for support throughout the shift.
