Shuttle Stop Support Team - 2025 Shuttle Stop Volunteer
Overview: Pride Shuttle Stop Volunteers are essential in ensuring a smooth and welcoming arrival and departure experience for Pride attendees. Stationed at designated shuttle stops, volunteers will use radios to communicate with other stops and leads about shuttle schedules, attendee needs, and any logistical updates. Volunteers will also assist in directing attendees onto shuttles and providing information about routes and destinations. This is a great role for energetic, customer-service-oriented individuals who enjoy engaging with the public and helping guests navigate Pride events. Volunteers in this role may be stationed at various locations, including the festival, parade, or off-site parking areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use a two-way radio to communicate with other shuttle stops and leads regarding shuttle arrival times and attendee needs.
- Direct attendees to the appropriate shuttles based on their destinations.
- Provide information on shuttle schedules, accessibility options, and general Pride event details.
- Monitor crowd flow at shuttle stops to ensure an efficient and safe boarding process.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth transportation logistics.
- Follow de-escalation procedures and hands-off response practices as trained.
- Understand and implement all transportation and parking procedures provided during training.
- Maintain an enthusiastic and welcoming presence as the first point of contact for Pride guests.
Location: Check-in location will vary and may be at the festival, parade, or off-site parking areas (exact locations to be announced).
Requirements:
- Must be comfortable standing and moving throughout the shift. Some spots may be able to accommodate a chair or mobility device.
- Ability to operate a two-way radio and follow communication protocols.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service.
- Willingness to assist with crowd control and provide clear, friendly guidance.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-energy environments.

- Various shift locations available; volunteers may request a placement that meets their needs.

Training or Support:
