San Diego Pride

Overview: Festival Sign Crew Volunteers play a key role in preparing the festival grounds by placing signs, banners, and vendor numbers throughout the event space. Volunteers will also help take inventory of signage to ensure a smooth setup. This role involves walking, standing, and working outdoors in the sun. If you enjoy hands-on tasks, being active, and helping create a well-organized festival space, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Distribute and place signs, banners, and vendor numbers around the festival grounds.
• Assist in taking inventory of signage to ensure all materials are accounted for.
• Walk throughout the festival area to complete setup efficiently.
• Work as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely placement of signage.

Location: Check-in at Volunteer Village near 6th & Juniper in Balboa Park.

Requirements:

• Must wear closed-toe shoes for safety.
• Comfortable walking the length of the festival grounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and hang signs in a warm outdoor environment.
• Willingness to follow setup instructions and work as part of a team.

Accessibility Options:

• Option to take breaks as needed.
• May encounter various sounds, smells, and large crowds.
• Requires walking and standing for extended periods; alternative tasks may be available for those who need accommodations.

Training or Support:

• General volunteer info sessions will be available before the festival.
• Brief on-site training will be provided at the start of the shift.
• Festival team members will be available for support throughout the shift.
