Event Support - 2025 Festival Event Support - Weekend
Prepare to dive into the heart of the action as an Event Support Weekend Volunteer at the Pride Festival! Get ready for a whirlwind of excitement as you tackle a variety of thrilling tasks to support the festival during Pride Weekend!
Responsibilities:
- Make any necessary last-minute adjustments or repairs prior to opening (fixing green screen, picking up fencing that may have fallen, helping replace signs, moving tents or tables, etc.)
- Provide traffic control for vehicles entering and exiting the festival grounds to ensure safety for everyone working on site
- Fill in for volunteers in various areas who do not show up for their shifts
- Be able to lift at least 25lbs
- replacing toilet paper and paper towels in porta-pottys throughout the festival site.
- Assist as needed in other areas
This is a physical position as you will be on the move, your feet pounding the pavement as you navigate every corner of the festival site. This isn't a job for the faint of heart - it's a high-energy adventure where you'll be on your feet, hustling to ensure every detail is perfect.
Training:
- Training will be provided to ensure you can perform your duties safely. You will learn proper lifting techniques, how to avoid heat related injuries, and customer service skills.
Location:
- You will check in at the corner of 6th and Juniper at Pride Village
