Shelter Helper
Every new volunteer begins as a Shelter Helper, where you’ll learn the shelter layout, meet staff, and support daily operations. This role keeps the shelter running smoothly and gives you time to get comfortable in the environment.
Tasks may include:
- Sorting and organizing donations
- Tidying laundry and supply areas
- Prepping treats, enrichment items, and activity materials
- Assisting with small‑animal care
Once you’re familiar with our routines, you may move into dog‑handling roles.
