SUMMARY:  

All SacPride volunteers are required to attend an orientation annually.

The orientation will include:

• The history of Pride and of Pride in Sacramento
• SacPride 2026 March and Festival details
• Why volunteers are essential
• What to expect as a volunteer
• How to sign up for shifts and log hours
• Details about training and background check requirements
• Best practices for interacting with diverse populations
• The chance to ask questions.

ORIENTATIONS SCHEDULED 5/2 - 6/11  ARE IN PERSON, HOSTED IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM IN OUR TEMPORARY LOCATION 2031 K ST.

ORIENTATIONS SCHEDULED FOR 6/13 & 6/14 ARE IN PERSON IN THE VOLUNTEER HUB LOCATED AT 520 N ST. ON-SITE ORIENTATIONS ARE SCHEDULED IMMEDIATELY BEFORE A VOLUNTEER SHIFT BEGINS, MAKING IT EASY TO TRANSITION RIGHT INTO A SHIFT, OR YOU CAN VOLUNTEER AT ANY SHIFT THAT IS AFTER YOUR ORIENTATION.
