Volunteer Opportunities - Reach Out and Read Storytime
The Winnebago County Health Department’s (WCHD) WIC Program is starting a reading program in partnership with the Rock River Valley United Way called “Reach Out and Read”, and they are looking for volunteers. Volunteers will be reading preselected books to WIC clients (children) for 1 hour in a designated area within the WIC Program office at the WCHD (555 N. Court St. 4th Floor Rockford, IL. 61103). They are requesting one volunteer per day on Tuesdays, 2:00pm-3:00pm, and Thursdays, 10:00am-11:00am. The start date will be September 17, 2024.
