Volunteer Driver

Fridge of Free Stuff Collections - the Fridge can only operate with the donations received from some of the various supermarkets in an around Weston and the only way to get that food is to collect it ourselves. We currently have a small team of dedicated drivers who regularly makes collections and deliver the produce back to the Fridge, and we are looking to expand that team with some new drivers now, who would be able to give a regular commitment.
Allotment Collections - this is a new venture for the Town Council, to make weekly collections from the Hutton Moor and Rector's Way Allotments, so this excess produce can be distributed to various locations, including our own Fridge of Free Stuff. It is anticipated that these collections would be required from mid August until the end of the growing season.
Reminiscence Boxes - The Museum have a brilliant scheme of lending out reminiscence boxes to care homes in and around Weston. The contents of these boxes are used to engage the care home residents in recalling their memories of past times. Occasionally care homes are unable to collect the boxes and it would be great to have a few volunteers who would be willing to pick these boxes up from the Museum and deliver them to the care home and then collect again (usually a few weeks later). This would be a very ad-hoc commitment.
