PILSC Helpline
We rise by lifting others
The Pregnancy and Infant Loss Helpline is a national acute crisis line offering confidential support to bereaved parents through web chat and text messaging.
The helpline peer volunteer role is to offer remote one on one peer support to individuals who are seeking immediate and anonymous support through the Pregnancy and Infant Loss HelpLine. This also includes being an ambassador of the work being done at the Centre.
Providing members of the community access to immediate and anonymous peer connection in a way that feels safe for them. Not everyone heals in the same way so by providing this accessible one on one peer support option, we are facilitating a comprehensive and inclusive healing space.
You are required to take on 4 helpline shifts a month (shifts are currently as follows: 9am-11am, 11-1pm, 3-5pm, 5pm-7pm, 7pm-9pm, 9-11pm), with one shift a month on the weekend (Friday from 2pm, Saturday or Sunday). One year commitment
