As the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to evolve, we’re working towards minimising the risk of exposure in our community while continuing to provide essential services to our vulnerable community members.
If you're looking for a way to help right now we suggest making contact with friends and neighbours to offer any help that might be needed.
We are particularly in need of volunteers in our community transport program. Volunteers use our cars to take people to activities, shopping and medical appointments. This volunteering provides vulnerable people with a safe, affordable way to get to where they need to go.
You can register for volunteering opportunity with Communify by completing our online registration form with as much information as possible about how you'd like to be involved and we'll be in touch. While some face to face roles are on hold for now we are developing new roles and we appreciate your offer of help.
HART4000 is Communify's Homelessnees, Referral and Assessment team. Located in Fortitude Valley in Green Square this is one of our busiest services. The HART team work with people who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness. The HART team help people to find the support they need to get housed and stay housed. This program loves the support of a team of volunteers who can provide a warm welcome to people who can be very stressed and can support with some administrative tasks.
