Loading Assistant for Truck Driver
Position Summary
One volunteer is needed to accompany the staff driver on food trips to Food Hubs and help to load and unload food from the truck. The volunteer will also assist with unloading produce deliveries and heavy lifting as necessary (up to 50 lbs).
Purpose
We create nutritional hampers each week for vulnerable families and individuals consisting of produce, dairy and non-perishables; that equates to over 700 individuals and families fed by your efforts each month along with diverting close-dated food from the landfill.

Time Commitment
Afternoons: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
One shift per week for 3 - 6 hours
3-month commitment
Training
All volunteers must complete a volunteer registration and orientation session in Better Impact. Ongoing training will be provided on-site.
Requirements & Qualifications

Shifts can be physically demanding. Volunteers should be comfortable standing for an extended period of time and must be able to lift 50 lbs safely.
