Welcome to The Volunteer Hub!
We have many exciting volunteer opportunities from various organisations across the Boroughs for you to take part in.
What is The Volunteer Hub
The Volunteer Hub was developed as a legacy from the fantastic work which is being carried out by our volunteers across the Borough in response to the Hyndburn Hub Covid-19 volunteer recruitment.
Our aim is to provide volunteers easy access to volunteer opportunities across Hyndburn and Ribble Valley from a multitude of community and voluntary organisations, enabling our volunteers the opportunity to make a real difference here in our communities.
The Volunteer Hub provides volunteers with essential training and the option to continue to develop their knowledge with access to accredited courses.
Please feel free to browse through our list of opportunities and fill in the application form.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Is a group of around 37 men and women who work to improve the lives of people in the local community and internationally. We work with local youth groups and schools, and with the elderly and vulnerable. We also undertake environmental projects. We fundraise regularly, our two main events being the Santa Sleigh at Christmas and our annual ‘Run or Ramble with Rotary’ sponsored walk. Our Club is a mix of ages – our youngest member is 20 and our oldest is 86! We are almost 50% women, and our members come from all walks of life. Your occupation is not important, what matters is your enthusiasm and commitment.

Each Wednesday and on occasional Thursdays throughout the year, we provide a variety of shopping/recreation trips to shopping and garden centres, the seaside and local market towns. We provide occasional country runs to give our passengers ‘a change of scenery’. These are around two hours in total with no stop-offs.

Prospects Foundation is an environmental charity covering the Borough of Hyndburn. We carry out projects with local community groups, schools and other organisations to conserve and enhance the natural environment, encourage local food growing and raise environmental awareness. We provide outdoor learning and volunteer opportunities which improve general health and wellbeing and enhance the quality of life for those involved. Our beneficiaries come from all sections of the community and we aim to work with hard to reach groups on the fringes of society, who are often excluded from mainstream activity.

Spring into Phab is a multi-activity group run by people who have a learning disability, who want to be able to make a difference in the community. This group was set up by eight volunteers in October 2015, after their youth club was closed down. Pre-covid the group met weekly at the Youth Zone, during the pandemic they moves sessions online and have now decided they want to start meeting out and about, visiting and enjoying meals at local pubs and restaurants in the Clitheroe area. The club is volunteer run and we are looking for Event Volunteers to support our out and about meetups
