Do you love being outside in all weathers? Do you enjoy digging, weeding and planting? Why not join our weekend heritage garden volunteers from April to September?
Our heritage garden volunteers meet on the second Saturday morning and the fourth Sunday morning of the month to work in and around our heritage gardens, located next to the Heritage Barn at Stanwick. The gardens complement the barn, showcasing plants which would have been grown in this area from Neolithic times until medieval times. Our volunteers have also carefully researched the different uses of the plants: whether for food and flavouring, medicine, dyeing, spiritual purposes, or just for their scent and decoration.
