Resource Management - Trail Walker
Purpose (why we are doing this):
We are seeking some extra pairs of eyes to help us monitor the conditions of our trails and grounds.

To enhance resource management and visitor experiences.
Responsibilities (duties and tasks)
Authorized work:
Volunteers in this role will pick a specific trail in the park and walk (or ski) it on a semi-regular basis. While walking the trail they will keep an eye out for trail hazards like erosion, fallen trees, extra muddy spots, and other things that might affect the usability of the trail. They are also welcome to pick up trash and/or help visitors by answering questions and giving directions. At the end of their walk, volunteers will report their findings, as well as where and for how long they walked, to a park staff member.
This opportunity has flexible hours (any time between 9am and 3pm) and there are no maximum or minimum amount of days required.
Restricted work:
The duties assigned to this volunteer position are laid out above. Tasks pertaining to other programs and projects at this park/trail or any other park or trail unit must be agreed upon in a separate Volunteer Agreement Form.
Qualifications Desired:
Volunteers may need to:
- reach overhead
- bend over
- squat/kneel down without restriction
- carry a heavy garbage bag
Qualifications Required
- Background Check Results Must be at least Passed
