150 Years! - Since 1873

Share in a life-changing moment as our country's newest citizens complete the Naturalization process! 

In cooperation with US Citizenship and Immigration Services, IndyPL hosts Naturalization Ceremonies each month. The ceremonies occur at 11 a.m. in Central Library's Clowes Auditorium. We are excited that family and friends are able to join the ceremonies, too.

Volunteers will be asked to greet guests and provide directions to the ceremony and viewing area. Teen volunteers aged 16+ are welcome! Please bring a completed Parental Permission. 

You can park in the garage under the library, access is off Pennsylvania Street. Parking passes will be provided for volunteers. The address for the garage is 840 N. Pennsylvania Street if you want to map it. If you're on foot, bike, scooter, or share-ride please use the 9th Street entrance.

If you're new here's how to sign up: 

1. Create a volunteer profile by clicking on the green “Fill in an application” button in the upper right corner.

2. Under the “I am new to MyImpactPage.com” section, create your username and enter your email address – twice. Check the box agreeing to the volunteer policies. Then click on the green “Save and Continue” button.

3.  Fill in the required fields and then click on the green “Submit Application” button at the bottom of the page.

4. You’ll now see the Naturalization Ceremony volunteer opportunity with all of the available shifts at the bottom of the page. Select the “Sign Up” button for the shift(s) you wish to support.

Now that you’ve created your volunteer profile you can sign up for other opportunities with the library by visiting MyImpactPage with your username and password!
