Mill Creek Alliance

General Information:

Join Mill Creek Alliance for our monthly workparties! These workparties can consist of many different tasks including but not limited to invasive plant removal, trash pick-up, tree planting, and spreading native seed depending on the worksite and time of year.

What to wear: Wear weather appropriate clothing (layers are always a good idea). Long sleeves, long pants, and closed toed shoes are highly recommended to avoid cuts and scratches, sunburn, and possible exposure to poison ivy.

What to bring: Bring your own sunscreen, bug spray and reusable water bottle. Volunteers are welcome to bring any personal labeled tools/supplies or snacks, but Mill Creek Alliance will provide enough tools/supplies/snacks for all volunteers including safety glasses, gloves, loppers, etc.!

August 22 - Harmony Park in Woodlawn

Join the MCA A-Team from 9am-12pm for our August Workparty at Harmony Park in Woodlawn. We will work to clean up the trails in the park by removing honeysuckle and other invasive plants.

Join the MCA A-Team from 9am-12pm for our September Workparty at the Mill Creek Greenway Trail in Camp Washington. We will work to remove honeysuckle, pick up trash, and spread seed to improve the trail and streambank.

November 7 - Mill Creek Greenway Trail in Camp Washington

Join the MCA A-Team from 9am-12pm for our November Workparty at the Mill Creek Greenway Trail in Camp Washington. We will work to remove honeysuckle, pick up trash, and spread seed to improve the trail and streambank.

This event coincides with a TSP qualifier event. You do not have to be seeking TSP qualification to attend this workparty. If you are attending the TSP qualifier event, please register for that event separately under the "TSP Qualifier Event" category. If you plan on sticking around for the workparty after taking the TSP qualification test, please also register for this event.
