Mill Creek Alliance

General Information:

Join Mill Creek Alliance for our monthly workparties! These workparties can consist of many different tasks including but not limited to invasive plant removal, trash pick-up, tree planting, and spreading native seed depending on the worksite and time of year.

What to wear: Wear weather appropriate clothing (layers are always a good idea). Long sleeves, long pants, and closed toed shoes are highly recommended to avoid cuts and scratches, sunburn, and possible exposure to poison ivy.

What to bring: Bring your own sunscreen, bug spray and reusable water bottle. Volunteers are welcome to bring any personal labeled tools/supplies or snacks, but Mill Creek Alliance will provide enough tools/supplies/snacks for all volunteers including safety glasses, gloves, loppers, etc.!

*Rain/inclement weather cancels events. Registrants will be contacted via email if an event is cancelled.*

June 27 - Mill Creek Greenway Trail in Camp Washington

Join the MCA A-Team from 9AM-12PM for our June Workparty at Mill Creek Greenway Trail in Camp Washington. We will work to remove pesky invasive plants, pick up trash, and spread seed.

Park along Millcreek Rd. near the northern entrance to the trail.

July 18 - Stearns Woods in Wyoming

Join the MCA A-Team from 9am-12pm for our July Workparty at Stearns Woods in Wyoming. We will work with our friends at Wyoming Urban Forestry Commission to remove pesky invasive plants, pick up trash, and spread seed.

Park along the road near 376 Oliver Road. There is an entrance to the woods here.

Join the MCA A-Team from 9am-12pm for our August Workparty at the canoe launch near Woodlawn Elementary School. We will work to remove pesky invasive plants, pick up trash, and spread seed.
