The Program Assistant – Skate & Hockey assist the instructors in the successful delivery of hockey and skate programs.

•  Assist the instructor in the delivery of the program (on and off the ice)
• Demonstrate skills and teaching progressions
• Supervise practice sessions
• Lead warm-ups and cool-downs under the direction of the instructor
• Set up equipment for on-ice activities and games
• Reinforce learned skills by following up on instructor’s instruction
• Lead circuits, drills and group activities
• Take attendance
• Provide friendly customer service for our guests
• Provide additional assistance as required
• Attend training sessions, orientations and meetings as required

• Previous experience in a skating and/or hockey environment
• Confident skater
• Outgoing and friendly personality
• Ability to approach strangers with ease
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to learn the daily updates about the park
• Ability to take direction and work independently
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
• Excellent problem solving skills

• Fast paced indoor environment
• Colder than normal working conditions
• Standing, walking or skating for long periods will be required
• Lifting children when they have fallen
• Shifts of 2 hours
• Weekday, weekend and holiday shifts
