Come assist us with all aspects of our fundraisers and events such as Dog Adoption Days and the annual WAG Gala. Duties include but are not limited to, helping set up and tear down of tables, chairs, tents etc, helping to transport items to and from the venues, assisting with decorating if necessary and whatever else is needed to kick off the big event.
We also need volunteers to work on behalf the WAG Rescue at the Wimberley Market Day (Lions Club Market Day) held the first Saturday of each month March through December. This involves working in one of the concession or merchandise areas for a 3 hour shift.
Other events: Adopt A Highway - come help us, quarterly, make the highway clean and beautiful on our small stretch of road adopted by WAG Rescue.
Your help with these special events and fundraisers allows us to raise much needed funds for our shelter, helps with vet services, food, grooming etc for our animals and helps us find forever homes for these amazing deserving dogs.
Come help us at our upscale retail/consignment store. We are open 10am-4pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Work 3 hour shifts in a relaxed environment. Duties include but not limited to, sorting donations, putting items out in the store, cashier and socializing with customers. All proceeds from the store benefit our rescue and adoption efforts.
The foster family is a very important part of our organization. It’s through the generous hearts and homes of our volunteers, we ensure that animals who come into our care will never again be alone, hungry, sick, or afraid. All we ask is for you to open your heart and your home to a dog in need of a second chance.
WAG Rescue provides all food, medical care and medication, collar & leash, grooming, bedding, kennel, toys and treats. We ask that you feed the food provided so our dogs have a consistent food regime.
WAG Rescue provides behavior assessment for our dogs and training resources available for each foster dog.
Care for WAG dogs and puppies in your home. Provide a nurturing environment for the dog while we work to adopt him into the right permanent, loving home. Please complete a Foster Application and we will contact you to discuss the next step in fostering a WAG Rescue dog.
