Platypus Walk with Waterwatch - Support
Martin Lind from Waterwatch has organised a Platypus Walk as a community event on Saturday 8th August as part of ACT Waterwatch’s ‘Platypus Month’.
The ‘walk’ involves meeting participants at a Ribbon Gun Theatre in the Sanctuary and taking them on a guided walk past Pond 4 and ending at the platypus sculpture at the Weir with pauses to see if any platypus can be spotted. There will a talk at various points along the way about platypus biology and ecology.
Martin is keen and has asked for members of the WildlifeAssist and VisitorAssist Program to be invited to attend as local experts.
We are looking for four volunteers who like to support Martin in the Platypus Walk.
