ACT Parks and Conservation Service is now recruiting for the 2018 intake of our VisitorAssist program!

Interviews, induction and training will commence in April and May!

VisitorAssist is a specialist stream of ParkCare where volunteers are provided with the training and support necessary to understand, explore and interpret the natural environment to our visitors.

The program is based at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve and Namadgi National Park.

Volunteer recruitment may turn into a competitive process and successful volunteers will be selected based on the principles of equity and diversity. We are looking for volunteers with the following attributes;

  • excellent communication skills
  • creativity and the ability to collaborate
  • friendly 'people' people!
  • great customer service experience
  • interest in, and willingness and ability to learn more about Tidbinbilla, Namadgi and the Canberra environment

We are looking for volunteers from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, and a mix of age groups. We would love to hear from teachers, researchers, museum practitioners, bushwalkers and campers. Please don’t worry if you don't tick any of these boxes as we would still love to hear what experience and interests you can bring to the team.

VisitorAssist Volunteers are passionate communicators who are able to enthuse our visitors with their passion for Canberra's natural and cultural environment.

VisitorAssist Volunteers represent the ACT Parks and Conservation Service - ParkCare Initiative.
