Cleland Wildlife Park

Tasks may include:

•Assist with the cleaning of animal enclosures and display areas

•Assist with the preparation of food for captive animals and keeping food preparation area clean. This includes dishes!

•Tend to rats and mice – clean cages, replenish food and water

•Cleaning interpretive signage and enclosure glass windows

•Wash and dry linen

•Assist with weeding in bird aviaries

•Clean water troughs and bowls

•Assist with gathering and placement of materials to renovate exhibits

•Assist with making animal enrichment items

•Assist with minor projects as directed

•Assist with animal watch when required (monitor and record animal behaviour)

Requires you to commit to at least 1 shift per fortnight on a regular day (8.30am start). Vacancies in the program are limited.

It is important to note there is NO handling of animals in our volunteer program.
