Since our opening in October 2022, the generosity of Lethbridge Chapter community has enabled Safe Families Canada to assist so many families! We have been hard at work helping connect families to resources in our community, break down barriers to accessing support, and making achievable goals to continue to move positively through crisis. Our incredible volunteers have been providing incredible relational supports including provided thousands of Hosting Hours!
It is clear that Safe Families Canada is fulfilling a critical need in the community. Other agencies have greeted us with excitement and urgency, recognizing the gaps they cannot fill. We are honoured to have dedicated volunteers who step in to support families in crisis in such meaningful ways.
Help us continue this vital work and double our capacity to wrap around even more families in need. The following are needed volunteer positions: Host Families, Family Friends, Resource Friends, and Family Coaches. We are especially in need of more Family Friends.

When a crisis strikes, many of us rely on relatives and friends for support, however, some families are socially isolated with no extended family available. In crisis situations, parents may struggle to provide safe and caring environments for their children. Safe Families provides support in times of crisis, to help stabilize the family by working with both the parents and children as well as connecting them to other resources within the community.
