Welcome to Volunteer Now Events Team!

There are lots of large and small events and festivals across Northern Ireland that just couldn’t take place without the support of volunteers.

The Volunteer Now Events Team is a large group of dedicated volunteers who have been selected and trained to act as ambassadors for Northern Ireland to large audiences.  These volunteers welcome and support guests and participants from all around the world at major events in Northern Ireland.

We work in partnership with event organisers across the country, Tourism NI, Visit Belfast and others to bring a warm welcome to visitors attending or taking part in some of these major scale events.

• Lots of fun!

Over the last number of years Volunteer Now have been involved in the 2012 Olympic Games, Derry/Londonderry City of Culture, World Police and Fire Games, Giro D’Italia, Tall Ships, Gran Fondo, Irish Open Golf Championship and countless other key events that couldn’t happen without the involvement of volunteers.

Some of the events our Event Ambassadors will support across 2024 include:

• • The Balmoral Show (15-18 May)
  • The Belfast 5k and 1 Mile Street Races (9 June) 
  • The Antrim Coast Half Marathon, Elite International Event (25 August)
  • Lap the Lough cycling event (25 August)
  • School Summit NI (7 + 8 October)
