Nipawin - Hospital - Palliative Care Associate
Volunteers will offer visitation/socialization. Sit with palliative patient and families. Seek support staff as requested per the patient or family in collaboration with Palliative Coordinator or Nursing Staff.
Being comfortable with patients at end-of-life stage. Initial palliative care training. Program will provide extra palliative volunteer training on request.
Volunteer must be impartial to differing life/styles and beliefs. Refrain from using personal religious/beliefs when interacting with patient, resident and family. Any religious requests initiated through the patient, resident and or family will be directed to the nursing staff.
Various shifts available Monday - Sunday
