Volunteer at Second Life
Are you looking for a way to help homeless pets without a big time commitment? We need you!
Volunteers are the heart of our organization, and you can make a difference with just a few hours a week or month. By using volunteers, more of our proceeds can be donated to animal rescue groups and toward our mission.
Volunteering at Second Life is a great way to help homeless pets – especially if you don’t want to or are not able to work directly with the animals in need.
Love to organize? Our back room needs you!
Are you a fashionista with style? Our clothing racks need you!
Are you a design expert? Our displays need you!
Can you create eye-catching displays? Our tables need you!
Are you an animal lover? We need you!
There are several ways to volunteer:
At the store. This is our biggest need and we are always looking for more people to help us create a great shopping experience for our customers. We need help with:
- Sorting through donations
- Putting clothes on hangers and on the racks
- Placing donations on the sales floor
- Rearranging current displays to create visual appeal
- Organizing – the back room, displays, clothing racks
- Creating displays & vignettes
- Testing electronics
- Assisting with customers
- Light cleaning
Away from the store. We would love to find a few dedicated volunteers who love to talk and could promote Second Life at community events and festivals. We don’t always have the opportunity due to staffing resources.
From your home. We can always use your skills and expertise in the areas of marketing, grant writing, administrative and more! Interested?
