North Country Fair - The Sanctuary
The CREW: The Sanctuary tent exists to look after those who may be lost, need some guidance/navigation, need emotional support, need to warm up or cool down, or have maybe taken too many substances.
The JOB:
- Two x 6-hour shifts manning the Sanctuary for "regular" volunteers
- Four x 6-hour shifts for super volunteers
- We are looking for volunteers for overnights
- Provide a safe space
- Contact first aid if anyone needs medical attention
The Sanctuary is open Thursday at 8pm until Sunday at 2pm
The MUSTS:
- Harm Reduction philosophy
- Show kindness to all
- ASSIST training, mental health first aid, first aid, naloxone training, and experience in the addictions and mental health fields are assets
- Experience working in the Sanctuary at other festivals is an asset
- Healthcare worker, experience working in Social Services, or outreach workers are assets
