North Country Fair - Hospitality Baking

The CREW: Let them eat cake! Part of the hospitality team, the baking crew focuses on providing our volunteers and performers with the sweetest treats.

The JOB:

  • Pre-fair baking shift only- baking shifts start Saturday June 13 through Wednesday night June 17/ 2026. As we share hospitality with the day shift cooking crew, we will have an integral pre-fair weekend crew Saturday and Sunday June 13 and 14th 10am to 5 pm where the bulk of baking is done as well as a weekday evening PM crew 8:30pm -2am

*This means you get to come out to the land early and set up prime camping as an added bonus!

*If there is enough interest we may potentially create smaller crew Thursday thru Sunday June 18-21 for traying and serving only-Ideal for regular volunteers, youth or accessibility challenged individuals.

  • **WHEN SIGNING UP PLEASE : be sure to state your intentions for super volunteer (24-30 hrs) or regular volunteer(12-15hr) status as well as your arrival dates, special skill sets and experience and we will do our best to accommodate when scheduling.
  • Duties for all who sign up include serving, baking, wrapping, labeling, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen and helping out other kitchen crews as needed if time permits.
  • We work in a team-oriented environment meaning we always work together for the common good.
Sometimes that means helping another crew do some prep if they need and we have time. We are all bakers, servers, dishwashers and cleaners. No one is above the grunt work.
  • We are happy campers and we would like to keep it that way. Intoxication of any kind (drug or alcohol), Aggression, harassment, bullying will not be tolerated and if it is witnessed it must be reported to your coordinator immediately. Any of said behavior will warrant dismissal from that shift and cost you hours towards your pass and potentially the ability to return as a volunteer in the future.
  •  Please arrive at least 5 mins prior to your shift ready to work.
  • If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, please inform either of us or another hospitality coordinator if we aren’t around and we will excuse you from shift.
  • When you arrive on site, please check in at hospitality. Come and say hello and double check your schedule.
  • Once on shift you will receive a meal pass for pre-fair hospitality access. Your shift coordinator will sign off on meals for days worked pre-fair. If you don't show up to work your card will not be signed and you will not be permitted to eat at hospitality that day. Please, do not lose this card.

The MUSTS:
