North Country Fair - Security / Gatekeepers

The CREW: The goal of our security crew is to uphold the Spirit of the Festival - a safe environment that is friendly, music-driven, and relaxed, while also ensuring a high standard of professionalism. The main festival security is handled by paid professionals; however, there are check points for restricted areas that are handled by our volunteer security crew.

The JOB:

  • Wednesday afternoon until Thursday at 8am - Stopping any traffic at the main gate except for volunteers
  • Thursday morning - Sunday assisting Alberta Crowd Managment with ticket sales at the main gate
  • Cash handling
  • Check badges of those coming into restricted areas
  • Manage any issues or access where not allowed
  • Keep an eye on the general area and answer questions from those accessing backstage areas as required
  • Diverting vehicles from restricted driving areas
  • Shifts are Wednesday afternoon until Sunday

The MUSTS:

  • A minimum of 18 years of age
  • Working with the public; strong interpersonal skills
  • Standing for periods at a time
  • Be comfortable with conflict resolution
  • Uphold a positive festival environment
