North Country Fair - Pre-Fair Road Gate

The CREW: There is a lot going on in the site pre-fair. However, only volunteers can access the site before the gate opens (Thursday pre-fair at 8am). Our pre-fair road gate crew makes sure only authorized individuals come onto site.
*Please note this crew starts on Saturday the weekend before the festival and the hospitality kitchen does not open until the Monday before the festival. Volunteers during this time are responsible for their own meals.
The JOB:
- Checking names against the volunteer list; using the radio to double check with coordinators
- The pre-fair road gate is open Saturday - Thursday at 8am BEFORE the festival
- 12-hour graveyard shifts 10pm - 10am and 4-hour daytime shifts
- Shifts are available for super volunteers with a 24 hour commitment and 12 hour commitment for regular volunteers
- Youth are welcome for daytime shifts and parents with a baby or toddler in their care
The MUSTS:
- Working with the public; strong interpersonal skills
- Standing for periods at a time
- Able to work in inclement weather
- Able to complete work before the festival
