At this time, organizations are considering how best to support those they serve and those who serve. To this end, all volunteer assignments have been suspended until further notice at BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital. Volunteer support is an enhancement but a non-essential service which must be re-considered during a state of emergency such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
Volunteer intake sessions have been postponed indefinitely and Volunteer Resources will not be conducting interviews until further notice.
Thank you for your interest and we hope you will check back with us at a later date.

The role of Volunteer Resources is to provide volunteer support to the programs and services offered by the hospital and health centre.
This support is intended to augment and supplement existing patient services providing for the psycho-social, emotional, and developmental needs of patients and their families.
Volunteers are recruited to assist retail ventures which raises funds for the hospitals.
Volunteers do not perform the functions of paid professional staff.
