Greater Vancouver Food Bank

Distribution Volunteers: Come and join us at one of our distribution sites, where you will be directly supporting our clients through food distribution. This is a front line, highly rewarding role.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with unloading and reloading food boxes from truck.  Please note boxes of food can be as heavy as 25 lbs or more.
• Assisting with setting up the space, including moving tables and putting food on the tables  
• Greeting and chatting with clients; helping to create a warm and welcoming environment
• Distributing food to our clients

Training and support is provided to assist you to be successful in your role.

Where: Distribution sites in Burnaby, Vancouver and New Westminster.

Shift Times: Please see individual activity listing once you have a MyImpact account.

Commitment: 1 shift per week for at least 2 months (ideally ongoing).

Must be physically able to: Stand for long periods, bend, twist, lift light to heavy loads.
