Greater Vancouver Food Bank

Welcome to the GVFB Volunteer Program!

Volunteering with the GVFB is an impactful way to provide healthy food to those in need. Thanks to our generous volunteers, we can support 16,000 clients directly and 138 Community Agency Partners – each month! Last year, our volunteers donated 50,000 hours of their time – the equivalent of about 25 full-time staff.

The GVFB offers volunteer opportunities in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and the North Shore. Whether you want to support behind the scenes in the warehouse or hand out food on the front lines, there is an opportunity waiting for YOU!

"Volunteering at the GVFB has allowed me to play a small part in helping food get out to people in need. As a warehouse volunteer, there is always something to do, offering the perfect opportunity to stay active and healthy. It's a mutually beneficial experience where I help those in need and feel good doing it," says John, a Warehouse Support volunteer.

Volunteers are the heart of the GVFB!
