Administrative support for ZIMS and record keeping
This is a fantastic volunteer opportunity providing office administrative support to the Animal Registrar, assisting with animal record keeping using ZIMS and administrative tasks, including filing and digitalising historical data.
This role involves computer work and duties which include:
- Inputting daily report sheets from the Animal Teams onto an excel spreadsheet, then transferring the data to the global records system (ZIMS)
- Filing of paperwork
- Helping to record historical data on to the computer
There may be some lone working, and tasks will occasionally require bending, light lifting, and periods of sitting at a computer.
You will need to demonstrate a good level of understanding of computer programmes, although training will be given on the use of Marwell Wildlife software.
Whilst full training will be provided for all aspects of this role, we are looking for people who can demonstrate:
- A good level of understanding and competence in Microsoft office programmes and spreadsheets for organising data
- Attention to detail
- Methodical approach to tasks
Hours can be flexible across Monday – Friday
