Plants & Landscapes

We are looking for volunteers to help us keep the public spaces (non-animal areas) including grass areas, paths and planted areas safe and attractive.

The Plants and Landscapes team is a great team to volunteer in as there are a range of duties available include weeding, strimming, pruning, planting and other routine gardening tasks associated with the environment.

Ideally, you will have some experience or a demonstratable interest in gardening/plants and the use of garden hand tools, as well as the ability (with training) to use powered garden equipment.

It is important that you are a good team player, and also able to carry out tasks alone, have good initiative, and a warm and welcoming manner. Please note this role is practical and volunteers can be outside in all weathers and it will be dirty!

Support from volunteers is required all year round, Monday through to Friday, 8am to 4pm, or can be half days in between these times.

Full training and instruction will be provided for this volunteer role, as well as an initial trial period of between 1-3 months.
