Veterinary - Registrar Administrative Assistant

This is a fantastic volunteer opportunity providing office administrative support to the Animal Registrar and other areas of the veterinary department in their general day to day running of veterinary office-based tasks. 

 

This role involves computer work and duties which include:

  • Organised filing and archiving of veterinary associated paperwork
  • Weekly & monthly management auditing: Regular processing of collected data e.g. transfer from paperwork to computer spreadsheets 
  • Scanning of documents

There may be some lone working and tasks will occasionally require bending, light lifting, and periods of sitting at a computer. 

You will need to demonstrate a good level of understanding of computer programmes, although training will be given on the use of Marwell Wildlife software.

 

Whilst full training will be provided for all aspects of this role, we are looking for people who can demonstrate:

  • A thorough and meticulous approach to tasks
  • A good level of understanding and competence in Microsoft office programmes and spreadsheets for organising data
  • A good level of literacy and common sense is required
  • Someone to be flexible with roles and able to work through priorities
  • Good time management
  • Good communication skills

 

Hours can be flexible across Monday – Friday between 9am to 4pm, preferably a Tuesday & Thursday.
