Role Overview
We are seeking an Outreach Volunteer to support Animal Aid by making follow-up calls to adopters, donors, and fundraisers. Your role will help strengthen our community relationships by ensuring that our supporters feel appreciated and connected to our mission. Whether you’re leaving voicemails or offering solutions to pet-related problems, your personal touch will make a difference. You’ll also be navigating our CRM system to make notes and following up with templated emails as needed.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. You’ll work closely with the fundraising and adoption teams to ensure adopters, donors, and fundraisers feel valued and supported.

Animal Aid is on a mission to give every pet a first-rate second chance. We’ve been at the forefront of animal welfare for over 75 years, working to end animal homelessness and connect animals with loving homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Make follow-up calls to adopters, donors, and fundraisers to check in and offer support.
- Confidently leave voicemails and communicate effectively with members of the public.
- Help navigate pet-related concerns by connecting callers with relevant Animal Aid business units.
- Accurately log call details and feedback into Salesforce (training provided).
- Follow up with templated emails using MailChimp or Outlook.
- Collaborate with the fundraising and adoption teams to ensure community engagement is maintained.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong communication skills and confidence in phone outreach.
- Ability to handle customer service tasks with professionalism and empathy.
- Strong attention to detail when recording notes and feedback.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn Salesforce and MailChimp.
- Self-motivated with a passion for helping both people and animals.
- Understanding of Animal Aid and our processes is preferred.

Shift Requirements:
- 1 shift per week
- Available on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays between 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM.
