Human Resources Volunteer

 

Reports To:                       Associate Director of Human Resources

Job Classification:           Volunteer                          

 

Position Summary: The Human Resources Volunteer supports various administrative and daily activities of the HR department. The Human Resources responsibilities include updating employee records with new hire information, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Update House of Ruth MD databases with new employee information, including details and employment forms.
  • Screen resumes and application forms.
  • Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates.
  • Post, update, and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages, and social networks
  • Review and distribute company policies in digital formats or hard copies

Measures of Success and/or Accountability: 

 

  • Accurate, up-to-date filing system.
  • Complete, up-to-date, and accurate HRIS database.
  • Evaluation by HR Director

 

Experience/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills, planning, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
  • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
