ABC Elementary Reader
Read a book - Change a Life!
ABC volunteers read specially selected children’s books as well as lead classroom activities and discussions on a monthly basis. The stories and activities teach students important life skills such as decision making, peaceful conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
Times: September to May of the current school year, time commitment of two to three hours a month.
Requirements: Project Cornerstone volunteer application, school district requirements, Take It Personally or ABC Assets 101 training, monthly school site trainings to review the book and lesson plan for the upcoming month.
