Spring Egg Hunt at Spring Valley County Park

Join us for a fun, family-friendly day at the Spring Egg Hunt hosted by Spring Valley Community Center. This free community event features:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Photo opportunities
  • Informational booths from local partners
  • An egg hunt for children ages 12 and under

We are looking for community-oriented volunteers to help support this seasonal event.

 

Volunteer Roles & Shifts: Volunteers may sign up for one or more of the following shifts.

 

Shift 1: Set-Up & Pre-Event Support, 7:30 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.

  • Moving items from the Community Center to the park (some lifting involved)
  • Setting up tables, chairs, signage, and event materials
  • Assisting staff with event preparation

Shift 2: Event Support, 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.

  • Greeting and guiding attendees
  • Assisting at arts and crafts stations and egg hunt zones
  • Engaging with families and providing basic event information
  • Helping maintain the event space

Shift 3: Event Breakdown & Clean-Up, 12:30 P.M. – 3:30 P.M.

  • Assisting with the takedown of event materials
  • Moving items back to the Community Center
  • Helping with light park cleanup

 

Dress Code

  • Comfortable clothing suitable for walking outdoors
  • Closed-toed shoes
  • Recommended: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle

 

Work Environment

  • Casual, friendly atmosphere
  • Outdoor environment (with tents and shaded areas)
  • Moderate background noise from families, music, and announcements
  • Interaction with the public and other volunteers is expected

Physical Demands & Accessibility

Some tasks may involve light physical labor, repetitive setup work, walking on uneven ground, and working outdoors. Tasks are matched to comfort and ability levels. Volunteers are encouraged to communicate any restrictions or preferences in advance.

  • Some tasks require standing, walking, or lifting (up to 25 lbs)
  • Accommodations can be made for volunteers using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids
  • Seated roles are available upon request

 

Multilingual skills are welcomed, but not required

 

Community Service Hours

Community Center staff can verify and sign off on volunteer hours for school or service requirements.
