Celebrate the season at our Spring Egg Hunt, a free, family-friendly event hosted by the Spring Valley Community Center. We’re inviting community-minded volunteers to help us create a joyful experience filled with laughter, creativity, and connection.

Event Highlights:

• Arts & Crafts stations for kids
• Photo Opportunities with spring-themed backdrops
• Informational Booths from local partners
• Egg Hunt for children ages 12 and under

Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome individuals, families, and groups looking to give back. Volunteers may sign up for one or more of the following shifts:

Shift 1: Set-Up & Pre-Event Support (7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.)

• Move items from the Community Center to the park
• Set up tables, chairs, signage, and event materials
• Assist staff with preparation tasks

Shift 2: Event Support (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.)

• Greet and guide attendees
• Support arts & crafts and egg hunt activities
• Share event info and engage with families
• Help keep event areas tidy and welcoming

Shift 3: Event Breakdown & Clean-Up (12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.)

• Takedown and pack up materials
• Move items back to the Community Center
• Assist with light cleanup of park space

Volunteer Guidelines

Dress Code:

• Comfortable outdoor attire
• Closed-toed shoes required
• Bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses & reusable water bottle

Work Environment

• Friendly and casual
• Outdoor event with shade provided
• Family and community-focused atmosphere

Physical Demands & Accessibility

• Some roles involve walking or lifting up to 25 lbs
• Tasks are matched to each volunteer's comfort and ability
• Seating and accessible roles are available

Language Skills:

• Multilingual volunteers are appreciated, but not required

Community Service Hours

Community Center staff can verify and sign off on volunteer hours for school or service requirements.
