We are excited that you want to volunteer at The Salvation Army of Springfield! Your willingness to serve will impact those in need.

YEAR-ROUND: If you are looking to become a regularly scheduled volunteer  year-round with services such as food pantry, Frontline Feeding or at the shelters, please complete the application.

HOLIDAY SEASON: If you'd like to volunteer during the holiday season at events such as the toy shop or holiday lunches, you do not need to complete the application. Just call our office at (417) 862-5509. Thank you!

If you want to be a bell-ringer at a Christmas Kettle site, go to www.registertoring.com and complete the sign-up form on that website.

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS*: If you are looking to complete court-mandated community service hours, please complete the application.

If you are looking to complete court-mandated community service hours between the months of November and December, please go to www.registertoring.com to sign up to ring the bells!

*When you complete the court-mandated hours, call Olin at 417-862-5509 to get a confirmation letter.

Community Center

The Community Center offers a variety of programs year round including a summer Day Camp program and an After School program. The Community Center also supervises the Kids Eat Free program.

Emergency Disaster Services

Volunteers play a crucial role in disaster response efforts by offering basic needs to those who may have lost everything. The EDS team meets every third Saturday of the month and participates in events to train and keep our skills in practice in case we are needed in a disaster.

The Emergency Food Pantry provides nutritious food for individuals and families in need. 

It operates every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. - noon and from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Harbor House

The Harbor House provides a nurturing and safe place for men that are homeless. This long-term intervention program provides hope and practical assistance to these individuals as they seek to break the cycle of homelessness. Men in this program maintain sobriety, work towards a college education, enter the workforce, receive counseling, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and much more.
