Sustainable Connections Toward Zero Waste Program specializes in helping support our community in waste reduction and contamination education. We accomplish this by using dedicated community volunteers to rescue surplus food through our Food Recovery Program and providing Toward Zero Waste event support at public events. - Become a Food Recovery Driver - Do you have a vehicle and a little extra time? Do you also want to help reduce waste and feed our community at the same time? Sign up to become a volunteer driver today. ** We do have a few volunteer opportunities that can be done with the right bike set up.
- Become a Zero Hero at Community Events - Sustainable Connections Toward Zero Waste Program specializes in helping support our community in waste reduction and contamination education. We accomplish this by using volunteers to help at community events. Volunteers will assist the general public in properly disposing of waste at the waste stations. Each waste station will include landfill, recycling, and compost. Training provided! Most events include a free pass into the event, lunch, and event t-shirt.
