LONG WALK starts at 8:30am
The long walk consists of a 10.3km total distance. The walk begins at Mt Jellore carpark and goes along the newly established Mount Jellore walking track. The track ventures across Jellore Creek, with steep stairways on either side of the creek. The walk plateaus at the South Wall’s lookout, where walkers have the chance to fully view Mount Jellore from a unique vantage point. From here the ascent to Mount Jellore begins. This portion of the walk is a bush bash along a steep, narrow and winding path. Walkers should expect an arduous walk, through significant elevation gain.
SHORT WALK starts at 9:30am
The short walk consists of a 7.8km total distance. The walk begins along a fire trail, joins with the Mount Jellore track leading to the South Wall's lookout. Here walkers have the chance to fully view Mount Jellore from a unique vantage point. Then the ascent to Mount Jellore begins. This portion of the walk is a bush bash along a steep, narrow and winding path. Walkers should expect an arduous walk, through significant elevation gain.
