Trails - Fall Creek trail #3455 Corridor clearing, chainsaw logout and brushing - Tuesday April 7th
On Tuesday we will continue restoring the Fall Creek trail system. We are currently working on the section starting at road 1828 and are almost to Puma CG about 1.3 miles downstream. We are slowly beating our way through thick brush, fallen limbs and debris and of course logs. We will work until about 2PM and then head back.
As of now the weather looks terrible with almost 2” of rain on Wednesday and Thursday. If the forecast doesn’t change for the better, I will cancel on Wednesday. We don’t want to be here in a forest of snags when the soil is saturated.
Let's meet at 7:30AM at the Pisgah Public Market in Pleasant Hill. To get there head east on 58 and at the top of the hill after crossing the Coast Fork of the Willamette there is a 76 Station on the left and a Dairy Queen on the right of 58. The Public Market parking lot is on the left. There is a Dari Market there and other shops. We meet close to the Espresso 58 coffee hut. Let's meet there and caravan up to the work site. Bring lunch, extra water, sunscreen, rain gear, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, mosquito repellant or netting and heavy boots. Please let the crew leader know ahead of time if you need a hard hat.
