Skills College - 2026 Rigging

For most crews and volunteers, any moving of large or heavy objects can be accomplished with standard trail tools.  However, a knowledge of Rigging would come in useful for those occasional situations where the object to be moved is quite large or heavy, or has to be moved a greater than typical distance.

This full day course will include a short PowerPoint on the topics of physics, tools, cables, and safety, and then will include a field portion where direct pulls and directional pulls will be demonstrated using rope pullers, come-alongs and grip hoists. There will also be a discussion about lifting power when you don’t have a skyline.  Class size limited to 10 students.
