Volunteer Training and Certifications - Invasive Weeds Training Event

Learn to identify and treat invasive plant species! The Forest Service and Cascade Volunteers are pleased to announce that we'll be hosting a training day on April 25, 2024 for everyone who's interested. No prior experience is required.

The day will start at the Sweet Home Ranger District office. From there, we will caravan to the field where volunteers will learn how to identify and treat common invasive plant species and utilize those skills. (Please note that personal transportation is required for this!)

There will be an archeologist and a botanist from the Forest Service to provide instruction and guidance, and there will be a BBQ lunch provided for all participants of the event!

Advance registration is REQUIRED!

Hard hats, tools, some PPE, and refreshments will be provided. Please bring water, work gloves, snacks, sunblock, boots with ankle support, and wear weather-appropriate attire.
